Casting On

I'm starting a new project and I'm really excited about it! My oldest cousin is having a baby and she's the first in the family to do so. So, I decided that I wanted to knit her baby a blanket. I am going to knit this, it is a striped garter stitch blanket. I like the simplicity of it and I like the yarn colors I have chosen (similar to the ones that they have). Hopefully my yarn proves to be soft enough for a baby, and if not, I'll figure something else out!
